Whenever i get a chance to present wonderworks, i typically connect the theme to animals.

Kids love farm animals and many of the families in my storytime crowd have chickens or farm animals at home. 2 years ago intentional storytime. Repeat as many times as you want with puppets of different animals who hibernate during the winter. They’re also great for just curling up on the couch for a read.
